SKA - Admiral - 8:2

In the second match of this 2018/2019 KHL regular season home series, SKA gave HC Admiral Vladivostok no chance at the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace, thrashing the visitors 8:2.

Konstantin Glazachev gave Admiral the lead in the first period, but in the second, SKA came roaring back. Lurking on the right faceoff circle, Swedish defenseman David Rundblad smashed an emphatic equaliser high into the far corner, leaving away goalkeeper Nikita Serebryakov with no opportunity to pick the puck out of the net.

In the box seat, SKA piled the pressure on a tiring Admiral team. Nikolai Prokhorkin completed a stunning move to make it 2:1, and shorthanded, Finnish forward Jarno Koskiranta burst through the Admiral defence to go top shelf on the goaltender. 3:1 after 40 minutes.

Period number three was a goal filled affair. Ilya Kablukov and Konstantin Glazachev quickly traded goals, before Maxim Karpov, Nikolai Prokhorkin (2) and Andrei Kuzmenko found the net to complete a thrilling 8:2 rout!
