Sergei Shirokov: "We knew that it was going to be a tough game"

4 December 2016

- Everyone finds it tough playing in Khabarovsk. In Amur's last five matches, the score has always finished 2:1. The main thing is that we have the three points, despite the fact that we didn't play that well.

- Did you prepare in a special way?

- We analysed how the opponents play. With puck drop scheduled for 10 am Moscow time, we woke up early. We knew that it was going to be difficult.

- Three leading players were missing.

- It's always hard without someone. Nevertheless, it's good that we have such a large squad. We are a united group moving forward towards our goal.

- Why did you make so many mistakes? Because of the early start?

- A lot of things didn't go our way. Tomorrow, the coaches will show us what went wrong. It's not easy when you fly a lot and don't have time to rest. Never mind, we'll move on. After the final game of this series, we will need to get ready for Dynamo Moscow at home.

- Are you satisfied with your goals?

- I am pleased that we won. We have the three points.
