Roman Rotenberg speaks after game three against Dinamo Minsk

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:

- We played with good structure today. Our defensive play was solid, and we dealt with Dinamo Minsk's powerplays. However, we cannot continue committing so many fouls, it's unacceptable. It felt as though we were shorthanded for the entire game. We have to give credit to the guys who competed on the PK, they blocked pucks and displayed great commitment. We will now analyse our mistakes and prepare for the fourth match of the series. We're only just getting started, so we must work even harder during every shift.

- Pavel Varfolomeev often scored against SKA in the past. Are you finding it easier without him on the ice?

- We're not going to get involved in other teams' business. Of course, we know that Pavel is a good player. All I can say is that I wish him success and health.

- Dmitry Nikolaev earned his maiden KHL playoff shutout. Can you say that the coaching staff made a big contribution to this achievement? After all, Dinamo's goal was only chalked off after your coach's challenge.

- We must thank our video coaches for their great efforts. We want to help the team as much as we can in difficult situations.

- Despite winning, SKA took more than 20 penalty minutes. How can you improve your discipline?

- We must improve our discipline by working harder with our legs. Our sticks should always be on the ice.

- Is there a chance that we will see the likes of Dmitry Buchelnikov and Maxim Groshev for SKA in the KHL playoffs?

- I think that there will be changes to the line-up, we need fresh players. Only the best players will be on the ice for us in the playoffs. Thankfully, a lot of our injured players are now returning, Zakhar Bardakov and Mikhail Pashnin were able to compete today. We must thank our medical staff who are working around the clock to ensure that our players can recover effectively.

- Nick Merkley and Cedric Paquette will be back for Minsk in game four. How much will this complicate your task?

- We are ready to compete against any set of players. Naturally, we will do our analysis before the match.

- Vasily Glotov has been impressive for SKA in the last couple of matches.

- Our task is to score more goals and constantly unleash shots on goal! We're always happy when we score, but every single one of our goals is down to the efforts of all of our players on the ice at that particular moment in time.
