Roman Rotenberg speaks after game four in Yekaterinburg

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:

- Our guys did a great job, they fought for each other and followed the game plan. Nevertheless, we have things to improve, we're taking far too many penalties. It was tough for us to play today taking into account yesterday's tragedy, but both teams played ice hockey and showed that no one can frighten our country. Russia is a strong superpower. We will now prepare for Monday.

- You took Vasily Glotov out of his normal line, but he still managed to score.

- This is a team win, every player contributed to our victory.

- Avtomobilist only scored twice, but they unleashed 11 shots from a dangerous area on the crease. Is this an aspect which requires improvement?

- We can certainly improve, but the most important thing is that we stop committing such a large amount of fouls. We've taken away our individual errors, but now we have to get rid of our penalties. So far in these playoffs, we've racked up more penalty minutes than any other team. This is unacceptable! As a consequence of our fouls, we're losing energy and our rhythm.

- As you have said yourself, SKA are taking a lot of penalties, but you've only conceded one goal on the PK so far in this series.

- We can't reveal our secrets, because the series is continuing. We're boasting the majority of possession and are controlling the games, but we are also committing far too many fouls at the same time. We took one step forward as a result of not committing individual mistakes, but now we must take another step forward by not taking penalties. Avtomobilist have strong foreign players, I remember Brooks Macek from the Olympic final in 2018. If we compete in the correct manner and as a team, we won't gift them their chances.

- How did you manage to remain so calm on the bench when Avtomobilist got back to within one?

- Ice hockey is a celebration! All players and coaches love the game, we receive pleasure from playing! Love for ice hockey improves our mood, everyone wants to have fun on the ice. As we saw today, we win matches thanks to our correct team play. We'll calmly prepare for game five on Monday.
