Roman Rotenberg speaks after beating Severstal in Cherepovets

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:

- I would like to congratulate everyone with this victory! It was an important game for us. This was the maiden away match of the campaign for us, so we had prepared seriously. The guys did a great job, we quickly recovered after conceding an early goal and followed our plan. However, there are details which require improvement. We have an important match in Yaroslavl ahead of us, therefore we must only enjoy this win for 10 minutes. We have to give Severstal credit, they gave us a good test. I would also like to thank our fans for their wonderful support here.

- Young forwards Zakhar Bardakov and Maxim Groshev scored important goals today. How important is this for you?

- Of course it's important, but this is the result of excellent teamwork. The guys are prepared to become leaders for our team. In pre-season, they had prepared really well for the campaign with plenty of hard work. The likes of Dmitry Buchelnikv and our other young players had opportunities to score today, but the opposing goalkeeper played well. At times, we need to play with more confidence and make unexpected plays: for example, we must fake a shot and then give out a surprise pass. Even though we conceded a goal today, we were very solid in defence. We barely gave the opponents a chance after that.
