Roman Rotenberg speaks after beating Sochi away

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:

"I would like to point out the wonderful atmosphere inside the arena, the stands cheered both teams on. Our guys gave 100% out there, this is an important win for us. We understand what areas require improvement.

"Ivan Demidov picked up four points? Ivan and I had a productive conversation during the Kharlamov Cup final last season, speaking about how we need to move forward. His success is a result of our joint efforts. Furthermore, Ivan is just a really clever guy, he has fantastic hockey IQ. He listened to what we had to say and worked brilliantly over the summer. Moreover, we also have to note just how good he is when defending inside his own zone too.

"We now have to prepare to compete against Torpedo, everyone knows just how difficult it is to play in Nizhny Novgorod. We're really happy that 300 of our fans will travel there for the match."
