Roman Rotenberg speaks after beating Kunlun in Moscow Region

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:
"We knew that the opponents would compete with commitment. All teams are really motivated to play us, but you can beat motivation with team discipline. The fact that we were solid in defence is really pleasing.
"We've won our two matches in Moscow Region by a combined score of 16:1? These games are already in the past, we now have to focus on our next match on Friday which starts with the score 0:0. Will we make any changes to our line-up for Spartak Moscow? Who knows, we're working in accordance with the situation at hand. Sergei Tolchinsky's penalties? We have things to work on. The best PK is when you don't commit fouls. Furthermore, we want to improve our PP, our potential is huge.
"The key factor of today's win? Our mindset and team discipline. I would like to dedicate this victory to Boris Bokov, who has sadly passed away. Boris did an awful lot for the development of ice hockey in Saint Petersburg, he was coaching young players right until the end. He is a perfect example of someone who dedicated their entire life to ice hockey. May he rest in peace.
"The lack of spectators at the Mytishchi Arena? To be honest, I am embarassed by this. When players of such a high level come to play here, surely it's possible to fill the stadium. Guys like Evgeny Kuznetsov and Nikita Zaitsev, who have joined us from the NHL, asked why the stands are so empty. I think that it would be a good idea to bring children from youth ice hockey academies to Kunlun Red Star's matches. After all, who do we play for? The fans."
