Neftekhimik - SKA. Press-conference

HC SKA head coach Andrei Nazarov:

- We prepared for this game knowing that Neftekhimik have played well recently and are fighting to be in the top four. We on the other hand haven't had a great road trip, and I asked the guys to play in a more simple manner. In my opinion, we managed to do that. We had more than fifty shots on goal, and fulfilled the game plan. Penalty shots are down to luck.

HC Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk head coach Vladimir Krikunov:

- I congratulate SKA with their victory. Overall I am satisfied with my team's performance. We played the same way that we have in the past few games. The guys played well, and had chances in overtime where we could have scored. We need to train penalty shots however. The players should have the capabilities to score. It's not good that we missed all four in the shootout. Nevertheless we performed well, came back from behind three times against a team like SKA.

- Both teams should have scored more goals. Were the goaltenders simply playing well, or did the forwards not do their jobs properly?

- Either the goaltender scores, or the forward misses. What difference would there have been had the score finished 5:5? Alexander Sudnitsin is playing well, but he can't do it all by himself. We are letting the opponents shoot a lot, and as a result he is having a lot of work to do.

- Despite missing his first penalty shot, Evgeny Grigorenko then had a second attempt. Was that your decision, or his own?

- He is a great penalty taker, he usually scores. If he misses twice in a row, then it really isn't our day.
