Lokomotiv - SKA - 2:0

9 September 2024

SKA couldn't end the maiden road trip of the 2024/2025 KHL regular season on a positive note, falling to a narrow 0:2 loss to Lokomotiv in Yaroslavl.

Following a tense, chance-free couple of periods, the game was decided by two Lokomotiv powerplays in the third stanza.

Byron Froese initially handed Lokomotiv the lead when deftly turning Daniil But's effort beyond Artemiy Pleshkov, before Maxim Beryozkin sealed the hosts' win with a firm wrister in the closing seconds.

SKA will now prepare to host Traktor Chelyabinsk in Saint Petersburg on Thursday in the maiden home match of the campaign. Puck-drop is scheduled for 19:30 local time.
