HC SKA head coach Sergei Zubov:

- I want to thank my colleague for a good match. In my opinion, it was a great game for the fans with a lot of goalscoring chances. We found it tough getting into the game, and our tiredness took its toll. At the beginning of the match, our powerplay should have performed better. Nevertheless we found strength, and our late powerplay goal kept us in the game. I am thankful to our guys for being strong and taking this victory.

HC Sochi head coach Vyacheslav Butsaev:

- I congratulate SKA with the victory, and my team with the one point. It was an interesting game, and in such matches patience and the small details decide the outcome. Unfortunately, in the final five minutes of the third period we were lacking patience and the opponents scored on the powerplay. In overtime, these small details were not on our side. I would also like to say, that I have a lot of questions for the referees. I think that these people should be more principle.

- Why was Konstantin Barulin pulled after the first period?

- He got an injury and was replaced by Dmitry Shikin.

- Was the team lacking physical strength?

- Both teams were in the same boat. We were probably lacking concentration. We believed too early that we could score again, in such games you need to play in order to keep the winning score.
