HC SKA interim head coach Pyotr Vorobyov:

- Having lost to Avtomobilist, we prepared hard for this match. We knew that the opponents play aggressively and disciplined. Yet again, we took too many penalties in their zone and in the second period, Ugra had a five on three. If I'm honest, I didn't feel calm on the bench. The hosts took advantage of their powerplays, while we got a bit lucky with our goals, Nevertheless, I am very happy that we won, but our special teams aren't good enough. Especially our penalty kill.

- We were ready for this game. In comparison to SKA, we had an extra day's rest. We couldn't score against CSKA, so as a result, we wanted to attack a lot better today. Unfortunately, while we attacked well, we made too many mistakes in defence. There wasn't enough concentration or strength to compete on a high level all game. SKA forced us into defensive errors.
