Joakim Lindstrom: "It's a lot easier to hold a lead than to chase a game"

15 September 2015

- You were close to equalising in the final minutes. What were you lacking?

- It was a very tough game, and we didn't get the result that we wanted. We got into a bit of penalty trouble and had a lot of time with four men. It was tough against a good team like Dynamo.

- Did you improve in the third period or did Dynamo relax?

- We started to play more desperate - we needed to score. I wish that we had such desperation from the start. It was a little too late for us today.

- Why are SKA beginning games poorly? Is this a season after becoming champions syndrome?

- Obviously it's something we have to talk about and look at. Hopefully we will improve for the next game. It's a lot easier to play with a lead than chase the game like today.

- How do you feel psychologically after the trip to Siberia and Far East Russia?

- That road trip cannot be an excuse. We've been back in Saint Petersburg for a few days and practiced hard. That cannot be an excuse.

- Is that fact that SKA took a lot of penalties down to Dynamo's hard play?

- It was a combination of both - our mistakes and Dynamo's play. I don't think that the referees made bad calls, the referees did a good job.
