Igor Ozhiganov: "We won the battles on their crease"

HC SKA defenseman Igor Ozhiganov:

- We feel great after winning this series! Despite the outcome of the first game, we felt confident in our ability. We dominated in the first match, even if the result was a negative one for us. We improved with every passing game in the series, correcting our mistakes in the process.

- In what aspects exactly did SKA improve?

- We protected the puck better at the opposing blue line. Furthermore, we crashed their net harder and won the battles on their crease, this is something which we couldn't achieve during the regular season. We were also more solid in the neutral zone. The guys did a fantastic job, Dynamo Moscow's top line couldn't do anything against us.

- SKA only conceded three goals across the past four matches. Was this because of Magnus Hellberg's brilliant performances or the defensive play?

- Both of those components played a part. When everyone gives 100%, good things happen.
