Igor Ozhiganov: "It was a typical playoff match"

HC SKA defenseman Igor Ozhiganov:

- First of all, I would like to thank our fans who provided us with fantastic support inside the Ice Palace today, there was a wonderful atmosphere! In terms of the match, it was a typical playoff game, no one wanted to concede. Both teams played out from defence, especially Dynamo Moscow. We didn't have many chances because of their tight defensive play. Thank God, we managed to score after that nasty situation with our captain.

- Was this the first time when SKA have played in such a cautious manner in the current campaign?

- We have had similar matches. For example, we had a cautious game with CSKA Moscow after the Euro Hockey Tour break in December.

- So SKA can be patient in such important matches?

- There are days when everything goes to plan in defence. Ice hockey is a game of mistakes. The only people who don't commit any errors are those who don't do anything.

- Do you change how you play in accordance with who is in your net?

- No. We have excellent goalkeepers in our team, we trust all of them.

- This is the first time in the current season when you have beaten Dynamo Moscow. Will this help you psychologically?

- Yes, we did feel a little bit of pressure. However, in some of our matches with these opponents, we simply couldn't make our dominance count. Today, finally, we have turned this situation around.
