Dinar Khafizullin: "The next opponent will be even stronger"

16 March 2017

- Despite winning the series 4:1, each match was difficult. We changed our tactics after the first match, but Dynamo played really well. The turning point was when we went 3:1 up in the series. Here, we should have played more confidently. Overall, everything went well, only the third period was a bit scrappy today.

We were prepared for Dynamo, we tried to play our own game. Dynamo skated well, they didn't give us the opportunity to display our best ice hockey. I didn't think about how many series SKA had won against Dynamo. I don't know who I will support in the CSKA - Lokomotiv series, they are both strong teams. We play CSKA every year in the Western Conference final. I don't know why, but just like against Vityaz, the first game was the toughest. Maybe it was because of the long break. The next opponent will be even more serious, SKA need to improve both in defence and attack. We missed Pavel Datsyuk and are waiting for his return to the roster.

Dynamo paid almost a million roubles in fines? Obviously it's a small sum of money for them. We didn't want to return to Moscow, we wanted to finish the series at home and not travek again.
