Dinamo Riga - SKA - 1:4

In Latvia, SKA gained revenge over HC Dinamo Riga for Monday's surprising defeat in a penalty shootout, beating the home team 4:1 in the concluding KHL regular season match before the upcoming international break.

SKA came flying out of the blocks in Riga.

During an impressive first period, our players managed to almost put the game to bed with three goals, as Igor Ozhiganov - on the powerplay -, Vladimir Tkachyov and Yakov Trenin all hit the jackpot. Dinamo Riga head coach Peteris Skudra had pulled Zane McIntyre for Ilya Proskuryakov after the second marker.

Andrei Kuzmenko subsequently increased the advantage to four in the second stanza with an excellent wrist shot on the powerplay.

In the ensuing third period, Martins Dzierkals did get one back as he forced the puck over the line, however with Magnus Hellberg in great form between the pipes, SKA held on to win 4:1!

The next game will be held in Saint Petersburg on December 22 against CSKA Moscow. The start time is scheduled for 19:30 local time.
