Dynamo Moscow - SKA. Match day

9 November 2016

Following almost a two week break, SKA will return to KHL action with a blockbuster fixture against HC Dynamo Moscow in the Russian capital.

Over the past five years, these two clubs have become arch rivals. From unforgettable regular season duels to gritty playoff battles, they have contributed to some of the KHL's most exciting games. This season, despite winning their past three matches on the bounce, Dynamo have struggled. A real lack of offence has stood out, and the fact that defenseman Mat Robinson is their top scorer with 13 points (3+10) shows where their problems lie. Nevertheless, conceding only 47 goals, they do have a solid back line. First choice goaltender Alexander Yeryomenko boasts a saves percentage of 93.5, and he is often relied upon to get Dynamo a result. Overall, the Muscovites are in 6th place of the Western Conference on 44 points.

On the contrary, SKA have been overflowing with goals, scoring six in practically every game. Indeed, before the international break, the team defeated Slovan and Medvescak 6:1 and 6:0 respectively. Igor Shestyorkin has six shutouts this season, and forwards Ilya Kovalchuk (36) and Nikita Gusev (30) both have more than 30 points.

The Dynamo Moscow - SKA match will begin at 19.30 local time inside the VTB Ice Palace, Moscow. Life78 and Match TV will both broadcast live, and you can follow events on our official Twitter account!
