Dynamo Moscow - SKA. Match day

SKA's first KHL match of 2016 will be away against HC Dynamo Moscow in the Russian capital.

Games between these two teams are always thrilling affairs, and today should be no different. Three games have been played against each other already this season, and each of them have gone down to the wire. Dynamo won the first two 3:2 and 4:2 at home and away, but our team clawed one back with a dramatic 3:2 victory in Saint Petersburg last November. That win confirmed Sergei Zubov as permanent SKA head coach, however Dynamo's fortunes have taken a sharp down turn since that match. A terrible run of form has seen the Moscow outfit fall to seventh in the Western Conference, and Harijs Vītoliņš was recently relieved of his duties as manager. Sergei Oreshkin is their new stand in head coach, and he has a tough job on his hands to turn around Dynamo's season. Canadian defenceman Mat Robinson is their top scorer with 32 points (11+21), while first choice goaltender Alexander Yeryomenko has a saves percentages of 93.1%.

Our team ended 2015 with a 1:2 overtime defeat to Salavat Yulaev away, but SKA have taken points from the past eleven matches in a row. Vadim Shipachyov continues to have more points than anyone else with 42 (11+31).

The Dynamo Moscow - SKA match will begin at 17.00 local time inside the VTB Ice Palace, Moscow. Life78 and KKL TV HD will both broadcast the game live, and you can keep up to date with events either by following our online matchcentre or our official Twitter account.
