HC SKA head coach Ilya Vorobyov:

- It was a physical game. We could have scored more in the first period, but in the end, we did well to hang on shorthanded.

HC Dynamo Moscow head coach Vladimir Krikunov:

- The opponents are strong, but despite that fact, we wanted to compete against SKA. Unfortunately, we couldn’t score, and we needed to register at least one goal at equal strength. Our powerplay didn’t work either. Our goalkeeper Ivan Bocharov was excellent, especially given that he scored 30 shots in the first two periods. Not all of our players played to their potential and they probably saved energy for tomorrow.

- Why would he get punished? Did he shoot the puck there on purpose? I was given six stiches, everything’s fine.

- Why aren’t Dynamo playing well against SKA this season? Vadim Shipachyov and Dmitry Kagarlitsky couldn’t do anything productive.

- SKA prevented Vadim Shipachyov from showing his capabilities, they close him down quickly to stop him creating. We’ve lost Andrei Alexeev for four months after his recent injury and we’re searching for alternative options.

- Why didn’t Juuso Hietanen play today? Has he left for the Finnish national team?

- No, I decided to give him a rest because he hasn’t got much energy left at the moment.
