Dynamo Moscow - SKA. Match day

The third match of this away series will take place today against HC Dynamo Moscow in the Russian capital.

These are very familiar opponents for SKA today, as just six days ago the two teams met in Saint Petersburg. It wasn't a particularly pleasant experience for our players either, as Dynamo held on to a three goal lead to eventually win 4:2. Nevertheless our team generally has a better record away against Dynamo than at home, and memories of the triumphant 2014/2015 Gagarin Cup playoff series are still fresh in the mind. Since that game last Tuesday Dynamo have only played once, and it was a defeat as they went down to HC Jokerit Helsinki in Finland 1:2. Defenceman Mat Robinson is still their leading points scorer with 9 (5+4), while their best forward is currently Alexei Tsvetkov (3+5). Interestingly, this will be the first meeting between these two teams inside the new Legends Arena, with Dynamo having moved out of the Luzhniki sports complex.

Since that defeat to Dynamo at home SKA have picked up form in Europe, defeating HC Slovan Bratislava 2:1 in overtime and Medvescak 4:3 in Zagreb. Ilya Ezhov impressed during those games now holding a 94.1% saves percentage to his name, and Vadim Shipachyov has more points than anyone else with 11 (3+8).

The Dynamo Moscow - SKA match will begin at 19.30 local time inside the Legends Arena, Moscow. 100 TV, KHL TV and Rossiya 2 will all broadcast the game live, whereas you can keep up to date with events by following our official Twitter account.
