Game three. Dinamo Minsk - SKA - 2:3

In the third match of the maiden round of the 2021/2022 KHL Gagarin Cup playoffs, SKA outlasted Dinamo Minsk on the road in Belarus, claiming a thrilling 3:2 victory to consequently gain a 3-0 series advantage.
Former SKA forward Malte Stromwall initially opened the scoring for Dinamo in the first period. However, SKA struck back with two quickfire goals in the second, as Emil Galimov completed a flowing play on the doorstep at the second attempt and Georgy Solyannikov hit the jackpot against young Minsk goaltender Alexei Kolosov from between the faceoff circles.
Minsk immediately struck back, though, as the vastly experienced Denis Mosalyov knocked the puck beyond Lars Johansson.
The two teams subsequently wasted plenty of glorious chances and powerplays. Overtime was looming but, with a mere 44 seconds remaining in the third frame, Nikita Gusev made full use of a big rebound at point-blank range on the powerplay to clinch a pulsating win for SKA.
The fourth game in the series will take place on Tuesday. Puck-drop is scheduled for 17:10 local time.
