Dinamo Minsk - SKA. Match day

Following seven home matches in a row, SKA have travelled to Belarus to face HC Dinamo Minsk.

Today's opponents Dinamo have always been tricky ones for SKA, and a tough test is coming up in Belarus. Both teams are in real need of the points, however while SKA can almost stamp their playoff tickets, Dinamo are in serious danger of missing out on the post season. A turbulent season has left them in 10th place of the Western Conference with 71 points, and are 8 off eighth placed Slovan Bratislava. Nevertheless they come into this fixture off the back of a 3:0 away triumph at HC Dinamo Riga, and should have some confidence among their ranks. American forward Matt Ellison is their top scorer with 46 points (22+24), and defenceman Nick Bailen has been impressive holding 31 points (6+25). Goaltenders Dmitry Milchakov (91.1%), Kevin Lalande (90.5%) and Jeff Glass (90.9%) are all battling it out to be their number one between the pipes.

SKA lost their previous match to CSKA Moscow 2:3 at home, and the gap separating teams between fourth and seventh in the conference is now only three points. Despite that defeat to CSKA, Mikko Koskinen was solid making 39 saves (92.9%).

The Dinamo Minsk - SKA match will begin at 19.30 Moscow time inside the Minsk Arena, Minsk. Life78 will broadcast the game live, and you can keep up to date with events either by following our online matchcentre or our official Twitter account.
