Pleshkov, SKA blank Minsk in Belarus!

3 October 2024

SKA confidently got back to winning ways in the 2024/2025 KHL regular season, defeating Dinamo Minsk 3:0 away in Minsk.

After conceding 10 goals across the preceding two games, a much-improved defensive effort was required, and our players did just that as 21-year-old goaltender Artemiy Pleshkov recorded his maiden shutout of the campaign.

SKA immediately took charge of proceedings, opening the scoring within 26 seconds of the first period as Vasily Glotov completed a flowing counter-attack when connecting with a pinpoint pass from Arseniy Gritsyuk.

Gritsyuk then went from provider to scorer midway through the second stanza, doubling SKA's money with a firm wrister on another counter.

With Pleshkov refusing to be beaten, SKA calmly saw out the match in the ensuing third frame, helped further with a late empty-netter from the lively Glotov.

SKA will now prepare to play Severstal in Cherepovets on Saturday. Puck-drop is scheduled for 17:00 local time.
