Barys - SKA. Press-conference

HC SKA interim head coach Sergei Zubov:

- First of all, I want to congratulate the opponents with the win. It was a great hockey celebration, and I think that the fans got satisfaction. The team which scores more wins. Today both teams had chances, but Barys scored more goals.

- Were SKA lacking freshness in the key moments?

- We weren't coldblooded enough, freshness didn't come into things. Of course the fourth away game in a row took its toll, but the key moment today was how we were not focused enough to finish off our chances.

HC Barys Astana head coach Andrei Nazarov:

- I agree with my colleague, the game was interesting. Both teams wanted to win. It was a very important game for us, our first one in our new arena. The guys were pumped up, and we had our share of luck. We take this luck and prepare for future games.

- How strange was it playing against the club with whom you were coaching just a few weeks ago?

- We're all professionals, it's business. This is not the first time that I have said this - any coach must be prepared to get the sack. There is nothing strange about this. I prepared Barys to play against SKA, and there's nothing bad about this at all. It's my job, I should do it to the best of my capabilities.

- Was there a task to play carefully against SKA's talented players?

- Have you checked who has the best powerplay in the league?

- SKA aren't in first place.

- What teams are in the top three?

- Barys.

- You've answered your own question.
