Barys - SKA. Press-conference

HC SKA interim head coach Pyotr Vorobyov:

- It was a tough start. We took a few penalties, but none of them were particuarly rough. This is the second match in a row when we have been left shorthanded early on, and while we coped against Severstal, Barys didn't let us off the hook. It's good that eventually the guys got their game together. I am grateful that they listened to what we had to say. It's great that the players found the character to come back and win.

- Why are SKA beginning matches so poorly?

- Against Severstal, our mentality wasn't right. However, here, it was simply a coincidence.

HC Barys Astana head coach Eduard Znakovets:

- We had two good periods, and if we combine it with the third against Avtomobilist, it was the perfect game. Unfortunately, we are not capable of playing the full sixty minutes. In the third stanza, SKA were better than us. In future matches, I want us to make the right conclusions and not make the same mistakes. Nevertheless, the first two periods today were positive.

- It seems as though Ilya Lobanov is not quite ready to play.

- He has a long road ahead of him to become a good defenseman. There is no other option, he has to make mistakes at this stage of his career and learn from them. At this moment in time, we only have six or seven defensemen, we have to give young players a chance.
