HC SKA interim head coach Sergei Zubov:

- I am thankful to my team for the confident victory. We prepared to take on a strong opponent and stuck to our game plan.

- Why didn't Mikko Koskinen play, and are you satisfied with Ilya Ezhov's performance?

- It was part of our planned rotation. We gave Mikko a rest, and despite the conceded goal Ilya was great.

- You coped well with Vladimir Sobotka and Martin Erat. There is a feeling that you knew exactly how to play with Avangard.

- I don't want to repeat myself, but I again state that we prepared seriously for this game and the players fulfilled the game plan 100%.

- How did you motivate your team in the break between the second and third periods?

- We couldn't predict how the game was going to end. I am happy for the guys, they believe in each other.

- Today it became known that SKA have complete control over Vyacheslav Voynov's rights. When will we see him in a match?

- It's too early to speak about that. Vyacheslav is in good shape, but it's too early to speak about when he will take to the ice. He definitely won't play before the break.

- What component worked best of all today?

- We were patient. We knew that the opponents are strong going forward, and we needed to be patient and wait for their mistakes.

- SKA took back Vladimir Tkachyov from North America. Will he get another chance with the main team this season?

- Yes, certainly. We are watching his performances, and as soon as we feel that he is ready, he will get a chance.

HC Avangard Omsk head coach Evgeny Kornoukhov:

- Unfortunately, we didn't manage to recover following our tough away trip. The opponent punished us for our terrible mistakes. Vladimir Sobotka's goal brought us back into the game, but instead of keeping our patience we made mistakes.

- Why were Alexander Popov and Alexander Perezhogin not in the squad?

- They've got small injuries. We decided to not take any risks and rest them.

- How satisfied are you with Alexei Glukhov's performance in the first line?

- Alexei found it hard going. In the third and fourth lines, he was given different tasks. Not everything worked out, but I'm not going to blame him. The whole team are at fault for this loss.

- Are you planning to recall anyone from the farm club?

- Yes, we are keeping up to date with how they are performing. Nevertheless, we have only one more game before the break.
