Anton Burdasov: "Mikko Koskinen made incredible saves"

- One expert mentioned that games for the national team can inspire. Was that the case for you?
- I scored in the previous game before the national team break too. The guys were tired after playing three matches in Finland, but they saw out this game to win it.
- You played against Harijs Vītoliņš, Oleg Znarok's assistant in the Russian national team. Was there something similar between today's performance and the Euro Hockey Tour?
- If I'm honest, I simply wanted to beat Harijs Vītoliņš.
- Were you not disappointed to play in the fourth line?
- It's for the good of the team, all four lines are of the same level. In the final period Sergei Zubov moved me up to the third. I think that I didn't let him down, and I will try if I receive such chances.
- Did you see that your shot went in?
- Of course, I shot and saw when it went.
- What did you make of Slava Voynov's debut?
- I didn't expect him to play so well in his first match, I thought that he would be nervous. I now Slava since childhood, and he has nerves of steel. When playing five on six, he swept the puck away from our crease on a number of occasions. The team congratulated him with his good debut.
- Did you and Evgeny Dadonov help him more probably?
- I helped Slava the most. The whole team is hospitable, we always respect new players especially when he is of such calibre.
- Does Mikko Koskinen deserve extra praise today?
- Yes, I couldn't imagine how he was making all of those saves. We didn't play well in defence today, our tiredness took its toll. Mikko saved everything, even impossible pucks. Luck was on our side, and Koski was brilliant.
- Did you speak about the fact that Vyacheslav Bykov was at this match?
- No, I saw that he was here on the cube inside the arena.
- Has he been inside the dressing room?
- Not yet, but I think he will go there now.
