Amur - SKA

Amur - SKA - 0:4

23 September 2023

In the maiden match of this away trip of the 2023/2024 KHL regular season, SKA powered past Amur Khabarovsk, earning a comfortable 4:0 triumph.

Vladimir Alistrov opened the scoring in the second minute when pouncing on a defensive mistakes from the hosts.

Following a number of missed opportunities, our advantage was finally doubled late in the second stanza, as Alex Galchenyuk expertly knocked the loose puck over the line from point-blank range while competing on the powerplay.

Amur promptly forced the issue in the ensuing third frame. However, after 20-year-old Artemiy Pleshkov had pulled off several fantastic saves when under serious pressure, Galchenyuk practically ended the game as a contest from the doorstep having been cleverly found by Alexander Kadeikin.

With a little over three minutes remaining in the period, Vasily Glotov put the icing on the cake, hitting the jackpot with the goal at his mercy.

Pleshkov did indeed stop all 39 Amur shots he faced to register his maiden KHL shutout!

SKA will now prepare to face Admiral in Vladivostok on Monday. Puck-drop is scheduled for 12:30 Moscow time.
