Vladislav Gavrikov: "It was important to start the season well"

- How important was it to win and beat the opponents by a large score in Kazan?

- We scored good goals. We didn't have a goal to thrash the opponents, but it was important to perform well in the first KHL match.

- Apart from the team staff, did anyone touch the KHL Opening Cup?

- I didn't see, but I don't think so.

- Will you touch it?

- No, I certainly won't.

- Did you touch it last year?

- I don't touch trophies.

- How is it playing with new teammates?

- Some players leave, others arrive, but we are starting to build up mutual understanding. The process is ongoing.

- 32 players travelled to Tatarstan along with lots of defensemen. Can you feel the competition within the team?

- Competition is always a good thing and it allows you to grow. In the 2017/2018 season, we also had plenty of defensemen.

- After this victory, did you speak about this match or the next?

- All we did is congratulate each other with the triumph.
