Vasily Podkolzin: "We didn't panic after conceding"

HC SKA forward Vasily Podkolzin:
- We were a united team today. We didn't have any pressure, so maybe that's why we played in a more attacking manner. However, we were careful in defence too. Thank God that we won.
- Did you train in a line with Linden Vey and Malte Stromwall?
- We had played together in a few matches during the campaign. Everything went our way in this game, both Linden and Malte scored too. Our teamwork resulted in this win.
- In your mind, did you consider the fact that this could have been your final match for SKA?
- All of us tried to avoid those thoughts. We needed to surprise the opponents.
- Did the coaches ask SKA to compete in a more simple manner?
- It was important for us to compete with full concentration in the closing stages of each period. We wanted to protect possession and spend a lot of time inside the attacking zone.
- For this match, did the coaches try to draw more emotions out of the squad?
- We're all adults, we don't need people to give us motivation in such a situation. We found more emotions within ourselves.
- What was said on the bench after conceding a goal in the third period?
- It was calm, no one panicked. Naturally, we subsequently focused on defence, but there wasn't any panic.
