Alexander Nikishin participated in his 200th KHL match. So far, he has picked up 94 (28+66) points, with 71 (18+53) of them having been picked up in 95 SKA competitive appearances.
Nikita Serebryakov became the 25th goalkeeper to play for SKA in the KHL. Since 1960, nine goaltenders have made their SKA debuts against CSKA Moscow, with Nikita becoming only the second to achieve a victory in that particular game. The first was Alexei Tverizovsky (SKA - CSKA - 4:3) on the 10th of October 1976.
However, he set an unwanted club record by conceding after only 40 seconds of play. The previous record concerning the quickest goal let in by a SKA goalkeeper on his competitive debut was set by Jakub Stepanek against Barys Astana on the 13th of September 2010 (46 seconds).
For the first time in his 252 KHL games to date, forward Mikhail Vorobyov scored shorthanded. Interestingly, three out of his four goals against CSKA for SKA have turned out to be game-winners.
Fellow forward Sergei Tolchinsky became the 12th KHL player to score both for and against SKA and CSKA in matches between the two clubs. Furthermore, he is the 20th player to tally a minimum of one point for SKA and CSKA in KHL games between the two organisations.
Forward Alexander Kadeikin dished out two assists in one SKA match for the first time.
