CSKA - SKA. Match day

SKA will face off against CSKA Moscow today in the Russian capital, as these two teams meet for the fourth and final time this regular championship. Every game has been a pulsating, nervy affair so far, with SKA winning two of the three played games. Our team came out on top 4:3 and most recently 3:1 in Saint Petersburg, with CSKA notching their only triumph in Moscow 5:3.

In recent matches league leaders CSKA, who have looked unstoppable at times this campaign, have been showing signs of faltering, allowing SKA to close the gap down to six points. The Moscow outfit have lost to our team and Jokerit away (1:2) this month, although they did get back on track with a 3:0 beating of Dinamo Riga. Star forward Alexander Radulov is their top scorer with an amazing 61 points (19+42), however due to injury he will most probably not take part today. French forward Stephane Da Costa will though, and he is on 46 points (24+22). Both of their goalkeepers have been excellent this season, with Stanislav Galimov and Kevin Lalande having a combined 12 shutouts between them.

Our team have been noticeably improving this year as the play-offs approach, and a perfect seven wins out of seven have taken SKA to 105 points in the KHL table. The previous 1:0 shootout win over Torpedo was Mikko Koskinen's first clean sheet with SKA, as his save percentage has raised to 93.7% with his new club.

Forward Artemiy Panarin is SKA's form man, as he is simply on fire at the moment. 7 points in the last five appearances have brought him up to 54 overall this regular season (23+31), and he will be looking to keep that streak going today.

SKA have beaten CSKA 25 times in the KHL, with the capital army club claiming only 7 victories for themselves.

The CSKA - SKA match will begin at 19.30 local time inside the LDS CSKA, Moscow. 100 TV, Rossiya 2, and KHL TV HD will all broadcast the game live, while you can also keep up to date with events either by following our matchcentre, or our twitter account.
