Torpedo - SKA. Game Four

Torpedo - SKA. Game Four

3 March 2015

The fourth game of this KHL Gagarin Cup first round series between HC Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod and SKA will take place today inside the Nagorniy Stadium.

It is promising to be a tough, drawn out series, as Torpedo are proving to be very stubborn opponents. Yesterday however our team did take a big foothold in the showdown, as a 4:2 win away does indeed put SKA 2:1 up overall. It was a very tense game though, as Torpedo fought back from a two goal deficit to level it all up in the second frame. Just when it looked as though the initiative was shifting SKA effectively landed a knockout blow, with Ilya Kovalchuk's powerplay rocket being backed up Yevgeni Dadonov just six seconds later. That proved enough to win the game 4:2, and the team will be looking to keep up the good work today.

In the previous two games of the series, SKA won the first match 6:3 in Saint Petersburg before then going down 1:2 inside the Ice Palace. In other series around the KHL Western Conference Lokomotiv lead Dynamo Moscow 2:1, CSKA are close to seeing off HC Sochi at 3:0 to the good, and Jokerit are ahead against HC Dinamo Minsk 2:1.

Remember that after today's game, the series will move back to Saint Petersburg where the fifth match will be held on the 5th of March.

The Torpedo - SKA match will take place at 19.30 local time inside the Nagorniy Stadium, Nizhny Novgorod. 100 TV will broadcast the game live, whereas you can keep up to date with events either by following our matchcentre, or our official twitter account.
