Tony Martensson: "When we scored the first goal it felt really good"

- It was a nervy game today. How did you manage to win?
- We had a bad start, and conceded an early goal. In the second period however I think that we played really well, and had a lot of chances. We had the feeling that we could turn the game around, and when we scored the first goal it felt really good.
- How do you feel after being injured?
- I was out for two weeks, so I need a couple of games to get back into it again. My hand isn't a 100% yet, but it's getting better and better every day. Everything will be fine for when the playoffs begin.
- Artemiy Panarin went off with an injury today. How did you cope without him?
- It happens. I don't know what is wrong with him yet, but I think that the team reacted well playing with three left wingers. The guys played well, especially in the second and third periods.
- The line combinations were shaken up heavily after his injury. How comfortable was it to play with Ilya Kovalchuk and Viktor Tikhonov?
- We only played a couple of shifts together. We did well, created a lot of chances, and tomorrow we will see what line combinations the coach will put together.
- What was the game's key moment: Mikko Koskinen's penalty shot save, or your goal?
- Mikko's save of course!
- The Swedish media have reported that you want to finish playing for SKA after this season, and return to Sweden.
- No, I didn't say that. I said that my contract is up at the end of the year. I want to stay here, but we will talk after the season. Of course we need to have a good playoff campaign, and we will go from there.
- The playoffs are just around the corner. How ready do you think the team is?
- We haven't played so well lately, but it's good that we won today. On Sunday a big game against Jokerit is coming up, and then we have three road games before the playoffs begin. We feel good inside the team, we know that we can play great hockey, we will go into the playoffs with a lot of confidence and hopefully we can show our best hockey there.
