Steve Moses: "We took too many penalties"

Steve Moses: "We took too many penalties"

25 March 2016

- You were leading, and in the end lost out.

- I think that we took too many penalties. I don't know how many we took during the second and third periods, but they had a lot of powerplays. They have a lot of good players, and we can't let them have too many powerplay chances.

- Why did you make so many fouls? Is it down to not being ready physically?

- No, I don't think so. We know it's going to be a battle every game, and both teams are fighting hard. Today the referees called more penalties than usual in the playoffs, but we have to keep our sticks down and be a little smarter. It's a big battle, we have to be smart.

- During this series, your powerplay has stopped working.

- Our powerplay has been hot. CSKA's penalty kill did a good job, especially not letting us get into the zone. However, we have to adjust as in the playoffs special teams are so important. We have to be better in that aspect next game.

- How did you improve since the previous match?

- Yes, it was a little bit better. We led for a lot of the game, so that's positive. Like I said before, all that matters is wins, and we didn't get one tonight. We have to regroup, head home and focus on those games.
