In the concluding fixture of the 2018 Sochi Hockey Open, SKA thrashed reigning KHL Gagarin Cup champions Ak Bars Kazan 4:0 to win the competition!

Following a goalless opening 39 minutes, Alexei Byvaltsev eventually broke the deadlock one second before the second period ended, before Patrik Hersley doubled the advantage midway through the third.

Nail Yakupov and Ilya Kablukov then made it 4:0, in turn completing SKA's victory in the tournament!
