Tony DeAngelo is leaving SKA

SKA Hockey Club and Tony DeAngelo have mutually agreed to terminate the player's contract.
The defenseman is required to return to North America due to family reasons.
DeAngelo joined SKA in September 2024, subsequently recording 32 (6+26) points and a +15 plus/minus record across 34 KHL appearances.
HC SKA thanks Tony for his efforts in Saint Petersburg, wishing him luck for the future!
Tony DeAngelo:
"I want to confirm that due to family reasons, I’m leaving SKA and will return to North America. This was a difficult decision to make, but it’s important for me to be closer to home at this time. It’s a real shame to leave such a fantastic city and team, the fans in Saint Petersburg really do love hockey, appreciate hockey and do their best to help the team achieve success.
"I want to thank the fans for their wonderful support, the stadium was always full. The SKA Arena is a beautiful place! Thank you to the club and the team: head coach Roman Rotenberg, all of my teammates, the coaching and administrative staff. They helped me both on and off the ice, so thank you for paying attention to detail, your professionalism and the excellent atmosphere inside the dressing room. I’m proud that we played for one team together, and I wish you success for the rest of the season. I hope to see SKA win the Gagarin Cup.
"I am grateful for this experience, and I hope that our paths will cross again in the future. Thank you for everything!"
