SKA - CSKA. Facts of game two

5 April 2022

SKA have now achieved 20 victories against CSKA Moscow in the KHL Gagarin Cup playoffs. Interestingly, our players have earned more wins over CSKA than against any other opponents in the competition. 18 wins have been registered against Dynamo Moscow and Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the KHL playoffs.

Nikita Gusev made his 500th KHL appearance. Thanks to his winning goal in the second period, the forward has now gained 477 (163+284) points in the league, with 365 (120+245) of them having been picked up in 314 SKA competitive games. The remaining 82 (43+39) were tallied across 186 matches for CSKA, Amur Khabarovsk and Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk.

All of Gusev's 80 (34+46) Gagarin Cup playoff points have been earned as a SKA player. In terms of players who have registered a minimum of 80 KHL playoff points for one particular organisation, Gusev is in third place of the ranking, trailing only Jan Kovar (91) and Sergei Mozyakin (140) of Metallurg Magnitogorsk.

Gusev has now scored four game-winners in these playoffs, a new personal record. Previously, he had netted three winning playoff markers for SKA in 2016, 2018 and 2019. Half of Nikita's 16 goals so far this season overall have turned out to be winners.
