For the first time since 2010, SKA did not tally any shutouts in the KHL Gagarin Cup playoffs. Between 2011 and 2021, SKA goaltenders had always earned at least one shutout in the KHL playoffs.

Boasting 12 goals, forward Konstantin Okulov is CSKA's top scorer against SKA in the KHL, overtaking fellow forwards Alexander Radulov (11) and Mikhail Grigorenko (11).

CSKA's Ivan Fedotov is the third goalkeeper in the league to register shutouts against SKA for two different teams. Last season, he had picked up a clean sheet against SKA in Saint Petersburg for Traktor Chelyabinsk in the regular season. He has followed in the footsteps of Vasily Koshechkin (Severstal Cherepovets and Metallurg Magnitogorsk and Julius Hudacek (Severstal and Spartak).
