HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:

"We knew that it would be a tough, hard-fought match. I would like to thank the fans for their fantastic support! Yes, we committed mistakes today, but we'll work on correcting them in upcoming games. I'm grateful to our guys for their performance, they displayed commitment, blocked pucks and competed for one another. Thankfully, we now have the opportunity to train well before our next road trip begins next week.

"Why didn't Stepan Falkovsky after the start of the second period? The flow of the game required this decision. As you understand for yourselves, the outcome depends on your game management. We believe in all of our players.

"Tony DeAngelo already boasts 15 points from nine KHL appearances? If you look at his statistics from North America, this really shouldn't surprise you. However, Tony can improve further. We lost the battles on the crease today? Obviously we're not satisfied with this component."

HC CSKA Moscow head coach Ilya Vorobyov:

"It was a playoff-like match today with plenty of battles. Given that it was SKA against CSKA, this isn't surprising. We fought hard and came back from two goals down, but we conceded in overtime after Ruslan Iskhakov had missed his chance.

"We conceded three goals after losing the faceoffs inside our own zone? We had analysed this aspect of the game when preparing for the match. On the other hand, we tallied three goals from the crease where it's always possible to score if you're willing to get hurt.

"Why didn't Ivan Prosvetov warm up before he replaced Dmitry Gamzin? The KHL wants matches to continue without long breaks. I liked how we played today overall, but Iskhakov wasted our opportunity to win and we conceded in the subsequent shift."

HC SKA forward Arseniy Gritsyuk:

"My goal? To be honest, I didn't expect to score with that particular shot, but of course I'm happy that the puck went in."

HC SKA forward Valentin Zykov:

"Did the fact that CSKA twice come back from two goals down affect our psychology? No, we simply needed to continue playing without paying attention to negative events. Our task is to play for the full 60 minutes. Thankfully, we managed to win."
