SKA - CSKA. Match day

Today SKA and CSKA Moscow will play their third match against each other this season. It will be the second encounter in Saint Petersburg, in one of the most eagerly anticipated games of the campaign so far.
CSKA have been in simply stunning form this season, losing just one of their past twenty matches, and with only six defeats overall they confidently hold a ten point lead over SKA at the top of the KHL table. Forward Alexander Radulov has been unstoppable so far, with 60 points from 37 appearances (19+41). Frenchman Stephane Da Costa is their main goalscorer however with 23 markers, and first choice goalkeeper Stanislav Galimov has a save percentage of 91.8%. Ilya Sorokin, who not long ago claimed a silver medal from the 2015 World Junior Championship, has recently joined the club.
Our team has had an almost perfect January so far, picking up three wins with two of them being in normal time. The 3:1 triumph over Jokerit in Finland seems to have given SKA the needed confidence, and this match will be the third in this home series after wins over Torpedo 5:2, and Severstal 4:3 OT. Artemiy Panarin has overtaken Ilya Kovalchuk as the team's top scorer with 49 points, having picked up 6 points from the past five games.
The SKA - CSKA match will begin at 19.30 Moscow time inside the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace. 100 TV, KHL TV and Rossiya 2 will all broadcast the game live, whereas you can keep up to date with events either by following our matchcentre, or our twitter.
