SKA - Torpedo. Game Two
SKA - Torpedo. Game Two

Less than 24 hours after playing the first match of this KHL Gagarin Cup series SKA and HC Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod will face off each other again today in Saint Petersburg.
Yesterday SKA were in quite fantastic form, taking the first game by a rather unusual score for the playoffs 6:3. Yevgeni Dadonov, Tony Martensson and Roman Cervenka were the real stars of the game, as they all notched up a goal and assist each. Torpedo's Jarkko Immonen and Wojtech Wolski also equalled that achievement though, and they continue to be the danger men for Torpedo. For our team Vadim Shipachyov, Ilya Kablukov and Jimmie Ericsson also hit the net, with Mikko Koskinen ending up with a saves percentage of 85.7%.
All of SKA's goals yesterday came in the first two periods, with them both being evenly spread out. In the third period however Torpedo were allowed to cause brief panic, as they struck twice to bring the score back to 6:3. That prompted head coach Vyacheslav Bykov to take a well needed timeout, and that did the trick as our players then calmly saw the game out.
After today's match SKA will make the trip to Nizhny Novgorod, where the next two games of the series will take place. Remember that this is a best of seven series.
The SKA - Torpedo match will begin at 17.00 local time inside the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace. 100 TV and Rossiya 2 will both broadcast the game live, whereas you can keep up to date with events either by following our matchcentre, or our twitter account.
