SKA - Torpedo. Game One

Today, the first match of the long awaited KHL Gagarin Cup playoffs will take place. Game one of the series against HC Nizhny Novgorod will be held in the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace, as our team does hold home ice advantage.

If you are coming to the arena this evening, then we ask you to arrive in your seats no later than 19.10! There is always a bright and wonderful pre-match show during the playoffs, and if we are all there together it can help become a united unit! Special t-shirts will be on everyone's seat, and please, put them on. You are all our seventh player, and playoff battles are matches where every voice is important!

Our visitors Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod struggled to make the playoffs, however after an excellent late run of form, including winning eight games in a row, they finished in seventh place of the Western Conference with 90 points. Their forward trio of Wojtech Wolski, Sakari Salminen and Jarkko Immonen will be the line to watch out for, as between them they have more than 130 points combined. During the regular season SKA and Torpedo met twice, with our team winning at home 5:2, before taking a narrow 1:0 penalty shoot out victory in Nizhny Novgorod.

The SKA - Torpedo match will begin at 19.30 local time inside the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace. 100 TV and KHL TV HD will both broadcast the game live, whereas you can keep up to date with events either by following our matchcentre, or our twitter account.
