SKA - Spartak. Match day

On the 14th of February, SKA will take on HC Spartak Moscow at home in the KHL.

These two teams met not long ago in the Russian capital, with Spartak giving SKA a real test. Goals from Vadim Shipachyov and Ilya Kovalchuk helped SKA earn a difficult 2:1 victory, and today's match promises to be another battle. Despite losing all hope of making the KHL playoffs, Spartak are focused on ending the season on a high note, currently languishing in 13th place of the Western Conference. Scoring only 119 goals, 118 less than SKA, it's not hard to see where their main problems lie. American forward Ryan Stoa is their top scorer with 36 points (22+14), while first choice goaltender Markus Svensson holds a 90.0 saves percentage.

SKA's Igor Shestyorkin, Mikko Koskinen, Yegor Rykov and Nikolai Prokhorkin were away on international duty at the Euro Hockey Tour. Nevertheless, all will be back for this match. At this moment in time, our team are in first of the standings, holding a three point advantage over second place CSKA Moscow.

The SKA - Spartak match will begin at 19.30 local time inside the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace. Life78 and KHL TV will broadcast live, and you can follow events on our official Twitter account.
