HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:

- This was our fourth game in five days. It was a tough match, especially taking into account that Severstal were fresh. Severstal are a fast, strong team, we have to give them credit. They play modern ice hockey and created a lot of difficulties for us. In such situations, you have to show your character as a team. I would like to thank the players, fans and organisers for this tournament, everything was of a very high level. We were obliged to give everything for the victory today, our fans offered us fantastic support. We'll now prepare for our maiden KHL game against Dynamo in Moscow next Saturday, our best players will take to the ice. I was particularly happy with Artemiy Pleshkov's performance today, it was his SKA debut and he played at a high level. We're satisfied that we have healthy competition within our team. Zakhar Bardakov's injury? He certainly won't play in the first KHL match.

HC Severstal Cherepovets head coach Andrei Kozyrev:

- It was a wonderful competition. Both teams had their opportunities today and attacked hard, but unfortunately we lost. Nonetheless, this experience will help our team develop and grow. We're happy with how the guys are adapting to our philosophy and system. How will we play? We like to play quick, attack-minded ice hockey.

HC SKA defenseman Artyom Sergeev:

- What do I make of Saint Petersburg? It's a fantastic city! I haven't been able to do a lot of sightseeing yet, but we have already taken a boat ride in the city and visited Peterhof. In terms of this tournament, then the organisation was excellent, and it's wonderful that so many supporters came to the arena. Yes, these four wins will give us confident ahead of the KHL, but that's it. The real thing starts on September 2nd, and it will become even more interesting in the spring.

HC SKA forward Vasily Glotov:

- First of all, I want to thank the fans for attending our matches. It was really nice that pre-season games had such a great atmosphere! We're happy with how we worked during the summer, we should be in optimal form for the start of the KHL. My goal? I noticed that the goalkeeper had for whatever reason emerged too far off his line, so all I needed to do was take the puck around him and score into the empty net.
