SKA - Severstal. Match day
SKA - Severstal. Match day

SKA will continue its first home series of 2015 with a match against HC Severstal Cherepovets in Saint Petersburg.
Severstal have been going through a rather up and down KHL campaign so far, and currently are outside the play-off zone with 58 points in 10th place of the Western Conference. They do have one game in hand over Vityaz Podolsk however, and can move up a slot with a win today. Their form hasn't been too promising of late though, falling in four of their past five appearances, most recently being defeated by Jokerit 2:3. Ex SKA goaltender Jakub Stepanek has a 91.3% save percentage at the moment with a goals against average of 2.51, and their current top scorer is forward Dmitry Kagarlitsky with 31 points (8+23).
Our team continued its recent surge with a confident 5:2 beating of Torpedo Nizhny Novogrod at home, and still occupies second place of the Western Conference with 93 points from 43 games. Artemiy Panarin has now caught up Ilya Kovalchuk on 47 points, however Ilya has 22 goals compared to Artemiy's 20.
The SKA - Severstal match will begin at 17.00 Moscow time inside the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace. 100 TV, KHL TV and KHL TV HD will all broadcast the game live, and you can keep up to date with events either by following our matchcentre, or our twitter account.
