SKA - Ugra. Match day

Not long after playing in Khanty-Mansiysk, SKA and HC Ugra will rekindle their rivalry in SKA's Ice Palace.

That fixture two days ago went SKA's way, with our players taking a 4:2 victory. Nevertheless, it wasn't an easy win at all, as Yugra twice had the lead before two goals from Alexander Khokhlachyov turned the game on its head. That triumph has helped the team keep second place in the Western Conference on 24 points and we do have one game in hand over leaders CSKA Moscow.

In that victory, forward Ilya Kovalchuk notched up his 200th KHL regular season point and he will be wanting to add to that tally today. From Ugra's point of view, they have now slipped to eigth in their conference and have now lost two on the spin. Overall in the KHL, they have only ever beaten SKA once and that came in 2012 (2:1 in Saint Petersburg).

The SKA - Ugra match will begin at 19.30 local time inside the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace. Life78 and KHL TV HD will broadcast live, while you can follow events on our official Twitter account.
