SKA - Dinamo Riga. Match day

11 February 2015

SKA and Dinamo Riga will play their fourth match of the current campaign against each other today in Saint Petersburg. All three games so far have been fiercely contested, with our team coming out on top 2:1 in Saint Petersburg and 3:2 on penalty shots in Riga, while also going down 2:4 in the Latvian capital.

Our opponents today are still fighting away for a playoff spot in the Western Conference. After 55 games they have 71 points to their name, and they are gradually losing hope of making the post-season all the way down in eleventh place. Forwards Mikelis Redlihs and Linus Videll are both tied on 32 points, 11+21 and 9+23 respectively, while Jakub Sedlacek is their top goaltender with a saves percentage of 92.2%. Dinamo have lost their two home games in a row, against Avtomobilist 1:3 and Traktor Chelyabinsk 2:4.

Two days ago SKA suffered a 1:5 beating at the hands of Ak Bars Kazan inside the Ice Palace, and a confidence boosting win is needed today. Dynamo Moscow, only three points behind our team on 112, can overtake SKA with two games in hand, while the team is still ahead of Finnish side Jokerit who are back on 111.

The SKA - Dinamo Riga match will begin inside the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace at 19.30 local time. 100 TV and KHL TV HD will both broadcast the game live, whereas you can keep up to date with events either by following our matchcentre, or our twitter account.
