SKA - Avtomobilist. Press-conference of game two

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:

- Our guys immediately tried to compete in the right way, but subsequent penalties prevented us from achieving the desired result. It's tough to win when you're shorthanded so often. Looking ahead to our upcoming matches, we must get rid of our penalties and start taking advantage of our opportunities. Avtomobilist are a strong, organised side, we have to find a way to break their defence down. Tactical flexibility will allow us to find the key to their defensive play. There will be changes to our line-up for the third match, we've got reserves ready and waiting. Our players were lacking calmness? We're playing with fire in our eyes only sometimes, not all of the time.

HC Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg head coach Nikolai Zavarukhin:

- It was a quick game with a lot of scoring chances. Unlike game one, this time we were excellent during the second stanza in which we managed to score important goals. Our guys blocked plenty of pucks and kept SKA at bay. Why didn't Sergei Shirokov play? We wanted to give him time to rest. It was difficult for us to escape SKA's pressing, their forwards are causing us a lot of problems with their speed. I liked the fact that we moved out from defence through the middle, not around the boards.

HC SKA forward Vasily Glotov:

- We'll make the trip to Yekaterinburg for two victories. They won twice at our place, so we now have to do the same there. Everyone understands the seriousness of the situation, we'll stop making so many mistakes if we play with more concentration. There's a great atmosphere within our group. We understand how to beat Yekaterinburg, but now we must start implementing it on the ice. My goal? I noticed that the goalkeeper hadn't covered the puck with his glove. Everything will be fine, we have to draw the required conclusions and make the relevant improvements.

HC SKA forward Zakhar Bardakov:

- We will travel to Yekaterinburg to win. The only difference between the teams so far is that they're scoring and we're not, it's as simple as that. Unfortunately, we seem to be switching off at important times. Coupled with that, we're not taking advantage of the scoring opportunities which are being created. We lost the rhythm of the game in the second stanza because of our penalties. Nonetheless, we'll be fine once we find the key to Avtomobilist's defence and goalkeeper.
