- We understood the importance of this match, all of us wanted to finish 2023 on a positive note. This was a successful calendar year for us, in which we managed to win the KHL Continental Cup with SKA and the Channel One Cup with the Russian national team. We played excellently in the first period today, but then the second wasn't our best. This is a sign for us that we have things which require improvement. Artyom Shvets-Rogovoi? Despite being on the sidelines for two and a half years with injury, he never lost his determination. Thanks to his character, Artyom emerged from this situation and returned to the ice. We all wish him health! Why did we replace Nikita Serebryakov for Pavel Moisevich in the third frame? Yes, Nikita was our best player today, but we must remember that Pavel is yet to concede in the KHL!

HC Avtomobilist Ekaterinburg head coach Nikolai Zavarukhin:

- SKA capitalised on all of their scoring chances in the first period, whereas we simply couldn't score. We created enough opportunities for two matches in the second stanza! Unfortunately, Serebryakov was fantastic for SKA. I did like our players' determination, they played until the end.
